Huawei has introduced the Mate XTs, an updated version of its triple-fold smartphone, offering enhanced internal features while maintaining its innovative design. The device retains its unique 10.2-inch LTPO OLED display with 3K resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1,800 nits. With a 16:11 aspect ratio, users can run three apps simultaneously, and stylus support continues to be included.
When partially folded, the Mate XTs transforms into a 7.9-inch display, while a full fold reduces it to a compact 6.4-inch screen. Measuring only 3.8mm when unfolded and 12.8mm when folded, and weighing 298 grams, it is slimmer than many standard smartphones despite its triple-fold design.
Performance and Software
The Huawei Mate XTs is powered by the new Kirin 9020 chipset, which delivers up to 36% faster performance compared to its predecessor. All variants include 16GB of RAM, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The smartphone operates on HarmonyOS 5.1, providing smooth performance and optimized multitasking.
Camera System
Huawei has refined its camera setup with a triple-lens system. The ultrawide camera has been upgraded to a 40MP sensor, complementing the 50MP main lens with variable aperture (f/1.4–f/4.0) and a 12MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5.5x optical zoom. Together, these enhancements improve versatility and image quality, particularly for ultrawide photography.
Battery Life and Pricing
The device houses a 5,600mAh battery that supports 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. These specifications remain consistent with the previous generation.
Pricing begins at $2,520 for the 256GB version, followed by $2,800 for the 512GB model and $3,080 for the 1TB variant. While it is currently available in China, Huawei has yet to announce global availability.
